The Bulb Switch
If you have an 'N' type Holga, rather than the old 'S' type, you'll find a lovely switch under your lens. This is your bulb switch. Normally, you'd set your Holga to its 'N' position, which opens the shutter for around 1/100 of a second.

For low light (night time or indoors) you may wish to use Bulb mode to hold the shutter open for longer, in order to let more light in. Slide the switch over to 'B' and hold the shutter button down. How long you hold the shutter open for depends on how dark it is - see the Exposure article for advice.
If you are using the Bulb mode, you'll want to put your Holga on a tripod or hold it steady against a wall or your pictures will come out blurry. If you want blurry pictures, then open your shutter and shake that money maker (great for when your outside and there are lots of neon lights)!
Top tip!
- Tape up your bulb switch on 'N' mode. This will avoid the switch moving over to 'B' without you knowing.
